psid - pTet - AmilCP - pag activator (PSP3) Positive feedback
This device is a positive feedback for itself, producing more amilCP (blue chromoprotein) each time.
AmcilCP and PSP3 are constitutively expressing by pTet promoter, which can be turned off by the prescence of TetR wtih no tetracycline. PSP3 is an activator for psid promoter, which is upstream pTet, thus activates AmilCP and PSP3 again and again.
PSP3 does not only activate genes downstream of psid, it also serves as activator for other five promoter of the same family ( (parts BBa_I746360 to BBa_I746365).
TetR is, theoretically, able to turn off all the system and be turned on again with tetracycline (or analogues), so this device can be useful as a part of a complex regulation circuit.
