Knock-In Knock-Out Vector for HVO_1199

This part is a non-replicating plasmid designed to knock out the Acd3 gene in Haloferax Volcanii as described here (Allers et al., 2004). Thus this part contains both upstream and downstream homologous regions to Haloferax Volcanii necessary to knockout the gene as described in the paper above. Between the flanking sequences are 40 base pairs of non-sense DNA that will replace the wild type Acd3 in the Haloferax Volcanii genome.
