ampR translational unit (ampicilin resistance CDS+promoter)
amppicillin resistance (beta-lactamase) gene in BB format including CDS and promoter.
Design Notes
AmpR gene encodes for the beta-lactamase (EC 3.5.2.6) protein that confers resistance against beta-lactam antibiotics (ampicillin, carbanecillin).
this construct is widely used for selection of transformants. this part contains constitutive promoter, CDS and the stop codon and can be used as a whole to insert a selection marker into composite, larger biobricks or plasmids.
Source
part extracted from pKD4 plasmid by PCR.
