Design Notes
HoxN is one of the most efficient nickel transporter protein which places in the membrane and allows the metal to gets into the cell [1]. On the other hand, rfp is a fluorescent protein widely used to measure gene expression. This part is an intermediate part of our design which can be fused with a promoter and then evaluate hoxn expression under the selected promoter by measuring red fluorescence.
Source
hoxn is from Cupradrividus metallidurans and rfp is from iGEM plate.
