Cornell iGEM characterized a composite of this part, BBa_K1021033, in E. coli BL21-A1 using a zone of inhibition test. The data is displayed below; at concentrations of 200 and 2000 μg/mL, the wild-type strain was significantly more inhibited than the allegedly hygromycin-resistant strain (one-tailed student's t-test, α=0.005).
