Components and Characterization
K1031013 consists of NahR[1], pSal promoter and transcription factor CƖ. CƖ functions as a repressor of hybrid promoter[2]. It is the repression branch of the Band-pass Filter circuit (Fig 1).
Fig 1 Repression circuit of Band-pass Filter. The orange square represents transcription factor NahR activating pSal promoter shown in light blue. Once pSal promoter is initiated, CƖ repressor, which is shown as square in dark blue, is expressed, inhibit hybrid promoter marked with two colors, thus inhibit expression of sfGFP.
