N-Cadherin-2A-EYFP Cell Adhesion MammoBlock
This part encodes a protein kmown to be instrumental in intercellular adhesion and tissue integrity. Like all cadherins, N-Cadherin mediates adhesion with five extracellular, calcium-binding repeats and an intercellular domain that makes contacts with the actin cytoskeleton of mammalian cells. This part additionally encodes an enhanced yellow fluorescent protein (EYFP) linked to the N-Cadherin by a self-cleaving viral 2A peptide, allowing for bicistronic expression of both a cell adhesion protein and an identifying marker with a single part.
