We named this new version of the promoter pVeg2 and used it in our construct.</p>

<p>We have made a protein gel in order to verify whether the promoter is over-expressing XylE in the <a href="https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K316005">BBa_K316005</a> construct in a DH5-α strain of <i>Escherichia coli</i>. The results showed a clear thick band corresponding to the correct size of the protein.</p>
