NOTE: This was our original submission of the part. The <i>S7 micrococcal nuclease</i> contains a mutation at a single nucleotide and is thus ineffective. We have since resubmitted the part as [https://parts.igem.org/wiki/index.php?title=Part:BBa_K902084 K902084] in which we repaired the mutation. Please view the [https://parts.igem.org/wiki/index.php?title=Part:BBa_K902084 K902084] page and our [http://2012.igem.org/Team:Calgary/Project/HumanPractices/Killswitch Wiki] for details about the system. | NOTE: This was our original submission of the part. Rhamnose promoter with S7 micrococal nuclease
NOTE: This was our original submission of the part. The S7 micrococcal nuclease contains a mutation at a single nucleotide and is thus ineffective. We have since resubmitted the part as K902084 in which we repaired the mutation. Please view the K902084 page and our [http://2012.igem.org/Team:Calgary/Project/HumanPractices/Killswitch Wiki] for details about the system.
This system consists of the rhamnose promoter, a strong ribosomal binding site, and S7 micrococcal nuclease. This is part of the final kill system which is repressed by glucose.
