sfGFP with kozak sequence for eukaryotic expression

Super folded GFP fused with a kozak sequence to enhance its expression in eukaryotic cells. To be used with an eukaryotic expression system such as pSC2+ (BBa_K812000) and related parts. This part is in pSB1C3.


This part was characterized in pCS2+ with CMV promoter BBa_K812000.
J04450 was replaced by this part, it built the BioBrick BBa_K812133. This plasmid (BBa_K812133) express sfGFP into Xenopus:

The expression of sfGFP is present only in one of the two embryo/tadpole. sfGFP is present only in few tissue as others reporters. sfGFP is expressed in tail's muscles and branchial basket for this tadpole. After injection of this plasmid into Xenopus it does not diffuse in the eggs, and the plasmid express sfGFP in few different tissues.
