The enhanced Cyan Fluorescence Protein (eCFP) was chosen with the eventual aim of attaching it to part BBa_K774002 or BBa_K774003. It was therefore important that the fluorescence peak of eCFP didn't overlap with RFP too much, as eCFP and RFP will be reporting on either part BBa_K774002 or BBa_K774003 at the same time.
