Expression of this BioBrick allows growth of E. coli K12-derived strains with sucrose as sole carbon source in presence of sodium arsenate. We (Edinburgh 2012) have tested this BioBrick by growing transformed E. coli on range of different media; Results below were obtained after 4 days of incubation at 37 degrees Celcius. Transformed cells managed to from colonies on plate with sucrose added as sole carbon source, whereas vector control cells failed to grow.

Applications of BBa_K917001

Expression of this BioBrick allows growth of E. coli K12-derived strains with sucrose as sole carbon source in presence of sodium arsenate. We (Edinburgh 2012) have tested this BioBrick by growing transformed E. coli on range of different media; Results below were obtained after 4 days of incubation at 37 degrees Celcius. Transformed cells managed to from colonies on plate with sucrose added as sole carbon source, whereas vector control cells failed to grow.
