This part is designed to produce an expression of LacI in the B. Subtilis cell, in order to control the expression of the promoter pHyperSpank https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K606040 K1606040] level of expression.


Usage and Biology

LacI gene is not expressed enough in B. Subtilis to be sufficient to regulate strongly the pHyperSpank promoter. This is a sub-part of the IPTG inducible expression cassette K606011 for Bacillus Subtilis, which contains the complete system
