TetR repressible promoter (BBa_R0040)+ kivd (alpha-ketoisovalerate decarboxylase)+Ter (BBa_J61048)
The coding sequence of kivd is from Lactococcus lactis subsp. It encodes alpha-ketoisovalerate decarboxylase which is responsible for the decarboxylation into aldehydes of α-keto acids derived from amino acid transamination. Kivd plays the vital rule in the isobutanol biosynthesis pathway. This part kivd is under TetR repressible promoter that constitutively ON and repressed by TetRcan. And terminator(BBa_J61048) is included.
Following is the isobutanol biosythesis pathway.
