This part, minC, is known as a cell division inhibitor. It was first submitted by 2010 Warsaw iGEM team.(BBa_K299806) However, there was a PstI site in the middle of the sequence, which makes it hard to do biobrick assembly. We designed primers to remove the site with a synonymous substitution.
