==General Characterization Techniques==
Currently, the most commonly used method of testing parts is through Flourescence assays.  <br>
Protocols for such assays can be found in the following places:
*Endy Lab's Openwetware [protocols] for characterizing parts
*Penn State is also working on characterizing parts using flourescence
