Help:Composite parts

< Back to Catalog

The Registry distinguishes between basic parts and composite parts. Composite parts are made up of two or more basic parts. Typically, composite parts are specified in the Registry as a sequential list of basic or other composite parts.

It is helpful to specify a new part as a composite part composed of basic parts, rather than just concatenating the DNA sequences of the basic parts, because it makes it easier to search and find related parts in the Registry.
