This histogram displays fluorescence levels of cells expressing GFP (green fluorescence protein) measured using flow cytometry. These cells contain a construct of pAga1 driving expression of GFP. We induced the cells with increasing concentrations of alpha factor, which activates the pAga1 promoter. Using GFP fluorescence levels as a reporter we were able to measure the activity of pAga1 at varying alpha factor concentrations.
