Nicotiana benthamiana leaves under UV light following infiltration (red circles) with Agrobacterium tumefaciens carrying plasmids encoding PDF1.2_GFP_ocs. Leaf (B) has been treated with Methyl Jasmonate whilst the control, leaf (A), was untreated.

There is GFP expression on the leaf from the plant treated with a methyl jasmonate spray, showing that the promoter is active (B). On the plant not treated with methyl jasmonate, there is no expression of GFP showing that the PDF1.2 promoter is not active (A). This shows how the promoter is induced in the presence of methyl jasmonate.
