C-24(28) sterol reductase
Enzyme coding sequence for C-24(28) sterol reductase, an enzyme which acts in the last step of Vitamin D2 synthesis by reducing ergosta-5,7,22,24(28)-tetraenol to ergosterol. No mutations were made to the enzymes genetic sequence. The genetic sequence is optimized for use in Synechococcus elongatus (PCC 7942).
Design Notes
The coding sequence denoted by Gene ID :2541740 has to be codon optimized for Synechococcus elongatus as it is derived from Schizosaccharomyces pombe 972h- (strain: 972h-).
Source
This sequence is derived from Schizosaccharomyces pombe 972h- (strain: 972h-). Gene ID :2541740 in the NCBI database.
