1,2-dihydroxy-3,5-cyclohexadiene-1,4-dicarboxylate dehydrogenase (tphB)

1,2-dihydroxy-3,5-cyclohexadiene-1,4-dicarboxylate (DCD) dehydrogenase (UniProt: Q3C1D3) encoded by the tphBII gene from Comamonas sp. E6 is responsible for catalyzing a reaction from DCD to protocatechuate (PCA) [1]. This reaction is the second one in a common TPA assimilation pathway [2]. This part contains the coding sequence of tphBII optimized for expression in Pseudomonas putida, and more specifically, in a synthetic operon to be expressed along with 4 other proteins.
