Part:BBa_K3239000
Promoter for the Prm1 transcription factor in the P. pastoris GS115 strain
Promoter for the PRM1 gene in the P. pastoris GS115 strain. Upregulated by Prm1 and downregulated by Mit1.
Usage and Biology
The PRM1 promoter (PPRM1) is homogeneous to the P. pastoris GS115 strain. It is self-upregulated by the Prm1 protein and downregulated by the Mit1 protein, both transcription factors homogeneous to the P. pastoris GS115 strain.
Functional Parameters
Published literature has shown that this promoter is strongly induced by methanol but is relatively leaky compared to the MIT1 promoter (PMIT1) and the AOX1 promoter (PAOX1).
