Parof, a tyrosine-sensitive promoter regulated by TyrR protein
The aroF promoter is present in E. coli, which initiates 3-deoxy-D-arabinose-heptanoic acid heptaphosphate synthase, which is sensitive to phenylalanine, which is two of the three isozymes that control carbon. Flow through the oxalate pathway. The tyrR gene product complexed with phenylalanine inhibits the transcription of aroF.
