Fully functional plasmid pMHE7 containing promoter and the LDH gene
This is a fully functional plasmid for transforming Methylococcus capsulatus with LDH gene through triparental mating.
The structure of the final construct
To control that the insertion of the gene and the promoter was successful, we digested the samples with the appropriate restriction enzymes. The digested samples were placed into agarose gel and a gel electrophoresis was accomplished. The result of the gel electrophoresis showed that there were two samples which were sure to contain both the LDH gene and the promoter.
