GH1-1 ( β-glucosidase) coding sequence
This part is a gene which encoding β-glucosidase. The β-glucosidase capable of hydrolyzing cellobiose into glucose. β-glucosidase catalyzes the hydrolysis of the glycosidic bonds to terminal non-reducing residues in beta-D-glucosides and oligosaccharides, with release of glucose. β-glucosidases catalyze the hydrolysis of soluble cellodextrins to glucose and are a critical component of cellulase systems. In our project,we expressed the GH1-1 and CDT-1 in EBY100, the combinations of CDT-1 with GH1-1 constitute fully functional cellodextrin transport systems. We have constructed an engineered bacterium that can be used as a carbon source, which can be used to produce ethanol by fermentation of fiber sugars, and the following are our experimental results.
