This composite part is made of up an E. coli-derived constitutive promoter (Pc), Ribosome Binding Site, Arsenic Regulator (ArsR), Double Terminator, and SalI Restriction Enzyme Site. This composite part is combined with another composite part that has the same Parts except that the ArsR gene is replaced with a GFP reporter.
The constitutive promoter means that the expression of ArsR is not regulated. The double terminator is used to ensure that the transcript stops after ArsR and does not keep transcribing into the next composite part. The SalI site is used to for cloning and allowed the ligation of the 2-part circuit.
