OspF-RR under inducible promotor
OspF-RR under inducible promotor
Usage and Biology
OspF is a bacterial phosphothreonine lyase, apparently specific for MAPKs. It catalyzes the removal of the phosphorylated threonine side chain present in the MAPK activation loop, therefore inactivating the kinase in an irreversible manner. Here, OspF is N-terminally fused to mCherry, and C-terminally to the synthetic leucine zipper RR; being expressed under control of a Fig1 promoter (inducible by mating pathway activation).
